Professional Cleaning

The cleaning of an oriental rug is not a “do it yourself” project and should be done at a professional cleaning plant. Oriental rugs should be professionally cleaned a minimum of once every three years if in a traffic area, and at least once every ten years regardless of the extent of traffic.

Rugs must be properly washed to keep the fibers soft. Before washing, rugs are dusted to remove the grit from the bottom of the rug fibers. Grit and dirt not removed will begin to work abrasively on the rug fibers, diminishing both the value and life of the rug.
